Digestion
We offer several kinds of digestion accessories to be paired with our instruments, including an in-line UV digester (TCN, TN, TP), a block digester (off-line TKN, TKP), and an in-line distillation set-up for phenolics.
In-line UV Digestion
UV Digester
The UV digester is an automated unit for performing UV-mediated digestion for cyanide, phosphorus, and nitrogen, in-line with the FIAlyzer series.
In the digestion apparatus, samples are heated and then exposed to UV irradiation. Following digestion, samples are injected into the flow injection analyzer.
In-line digester for UV-mediated digestion of Cyanide, Phosphorus, and Nitrogen species.

The digester is compact and easy to use. It has fluidic ports for directing the sample into and out of the UV-exposed chamber. The internal fluidic path is made of FEP tubing, providing a mechanically and chemically robust setup. The digester can be paired as such with the FIAlyzer FLEX analyzer. If equipped with a stand-alone peristaltic pump, the digester is also compatible with a FIAlyzer-1000 analyzer.

In-line Distillation
In-line automated distillation designed for the determination of volatile phenolics in water samples.
Determination of Phenolics via FIA
Liquid samples are heated, with the gaseous phase routed through the distillation apparatus to separate the total recoverable phenolics. The phenolics fraction is condensed and then injected into the flow injection analyzer.
