Flow Injection Analysis in the Education Sector

Injecting Innovation into Education - A Platform to Understanding Modern Analytical Instrumentation

Abstract

Figure 1: Full Instrument setup with computer, autosampler, and FIAlyzer-1000

Many modern analytical instruments (chromatographs, mass spectrometers, ICP spectrometers) rely on the concept of injecting a controlled volume of sample solution into the instrument. The concept has proven to be an efficient and robust way to introduce samples in a highly reliable and precise manner. Yet, the operation of the injection process often remains a “black box” even to advanced-level analysts.

Our flow injection analyzers are used by many research and teaching labs in the global University community. It’s our goal to assist educators, researchers, and students in teaching, utilizing, and learning about real-world instrumentation for analytical chemistry
