Ocean Insight offers sturdy, reliable tungsten halogen light sources to meet your application requirements. The HL-2000-LL uses a unique long-lifetime lamp that extends operation to 10,000 hours. Our HL-2000 product family provides flexibility for your lab for measurements from 360-2400 nm.
All HL-2000 models have an integrated fan to keep source cool and stable, and a built-in holder that accommodates filters for conditioning the light. A universal power supply makes setup quick and easy.

Also available are the high-power (HP) and shutter option (FHSA) versions. The HL-2000-HP uses a 20-watt bulb for large-diameter optical fibers or fiber-probe bundles. Its intensity can be attenuated via an RS-232 module. The HL-2000-FHSA features a TTL shutter for attenuation.
Deuterium Light Source
DH-2000
The DH-2000 light source offers stable, continuous output from 215-2500 nm. Using a combination of deuterium and halogen lamps, the DH-2000 is ideal for measuring a sample that has multiple features in different spectral regions or for analyzing a variety of different samples in your lab. All models of the DH-2000 family include easy-to-replace bulbs, keeping your measurements going with fast lamp changes.
For those that need light into the deep UV, the DH-2000-FHS-DUV-TTL and DH-2000-S-DUV-TTL models include a special deep-UV deuterium lamp providing output from 190-2500 nm. Both models come with a shutter to limit the exposure of samples to the UV light.
The DH-2000-FHS-DUV-TTL comes with a filter holder for filters up to 25 mm square or 25 mm round in diameter and 4 mm in thickness, plus a shutter controlled via TTL signal or switch up to 5 Hz.
The DH-2000 light source uses a combination of deuterium and halogen lamps.
Output Power
The table below reports typical output power coupled into a 600 μm UV-VIS fiber and measured with an optical power meter integrated from 200-1100 nm.
